Ben and I picked out my engagement ring togther. Ben told me that he would surprise me with it when I least expected it. That night after we got home from the jewelry store he decided he couldn't wait any longer. So he put my ring on my dogs collar, and waited for me to notice it. I quickly noticed it hanging there as my dog ran right up to me with it. Once I noticed it, Ben quickly and nervously said, "uh, uh that's for you!" I quickly responded with a yes before I fully realized what he said. He later confessed that it didn't go at all the way he planned. He said he was so nervous that he froze and just said what first popped into his head. We both laugh about this now, but I wouldn't have changed a single thing about it. The proposal didn't quite go as either of us had imagined, but it was still very special because it mean't that I was going to be marrying my best friend and the best man I know.
